Biography

Dr. Chen Renjin is an Associate Professor and Master’s Supervisor. He serves as the Director of the Department of Medical Experimental Animal Science, Director of the Comprehensive Biology Teaching Laboratory, Head of the Zoology Discipline, Head of the Transgenic Experiment Platform, and Head of the Humanized Mouse Platform. He also serves as a thesis review expert for the Ministry of Education’s Degree and Graduate Education Development Center. From September 2018 to August 2020, he was a visiting scholar in the Department of Immunology at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. He has presided over or completed numerous projects, including two grants from the Natural Science Foundation of Jiangsu Province, a First-Class Grant from the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation, a major project funded by the Natural Science Foundation for Colleges and Universities in Jiangsu Province, and a Jiangsu Provincial Postdoctoral Science Foundation project. He has published over 20 SCI-indexed papers as the first or corresponding author. He has applied for four national invention patents, two of which have been granted. He also received the Third Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress in Xuzhou City (ranking first).

Under his guidance, undergraduate students have won a Bronze Award at the China International College Students’ "Internet+" Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition; a Silver Award at the 14th "Challenge Cup" (Qin Chuang Yuan) China College Student Entrepreneurship Plan Competition; one First Prize and two Third Prizes at the National Life Science Competition (Innovation and Entrepreneurship Category); and a Third Prize at the National Life Science Competition (Scientific Inquiry Category).
