Biography
Dr. Baole Zhang is a Professor in the Department of Cell Biology and Neurobiology at Xuzhou Medical University. He earned his PhD in Animal Genetics, Breeding, and Reproduction from Nanjing Agricultural University in 2012. Supported by a project funded by the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation, he completed his postdoctoral training at Xuzhou Medical University Affiliated Hospital and Nanjing Medical University in 2015. From March 2017 to March 2018, he was a visiting scholar at the Max Delbrück Center for Molecular Medicine in Germany, where he investigated the mechanisms by which microglia promote glioma development and progression. His current primary research focuses on the mechanisms underlying the pathogenesis and progression of gliomas and their drug resistance. He has led two projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, three provincial or ministerial-level projects, and three municipal or departmental-level projects. He has published over 29 SCI-indexed papers, which have been cited more than 511 times, and he has an H-index of 15. He also serves as a young editorial board member for Animal Advances and the Journal of Xuzhou Medical University, and as a reviewer for journals such as Carcinogenesis, Molecular Neurobiology, and the Chinese Journal of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.
