Biography
Dr. Yuxia Qin is a Professor in the Department of Life Science at Xuzhou Medical University. She earned her Ph.D. in Zoology from Northeast Normal University in 2010. Supported by the China Scholarship Council and Xuzhou Medical University, Dr. Qin completed two visiting research appointments at the University of Chicago under the supervision of Dr. Bruce Lahn. Her research there focused on fundamental biological mechanisms, including gene occlusion and the regulation of gene expression. During her Ph.D. training, she also worked as a laboratory technician in the Bioreactor Laboratory at Jilin Agricultural University under the supervision of Dr. Xiaokun Li, where she participated in research and development of FGF-related biopharmaceuticals.
Dr. Qin's current research focuses on the molecular mechanisms underlying the development and progression of gliomas, with additional research interests in neurodegenerative diseases. She has authored more than 20 scientific publications, including numerous papers indexed in the Science Citation Index (SCI).
In addition to her research, Dr. Qin teaches Cell Biology to both domestic and international undergraduate students and is committed to integrating scientific research with high-quality education.
