Biography

Dr. Yang Tan joined the Department of Biotechnology, School of Life Sciences, Xuzhou Medical University in 2025. He earned his B.Sc. from China Pharmaceutical University and his Ph.D. from the School of Life Sciences, Nanjing University. Following his doctoral training, he continued at Nanjing University as a postdoctoral fellow and later as an assistant researcher. Dr. Tan currently teaches undergraduate courses, including Introduction to Medical Research and Downstream Processing of Bioengineering. His long-standing research interests lie in the biomedical field, with a particular emphasis on molecular intervention strategies that target nucleic acid–protein interactions. His work has been published in prestigious journals such as Nucleic Acids Research (2022, 2024) and Biochemical Pharmacology. He has successfully secured funding as Principal Investigator for the Young Scientists Fund of the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation General Program. In addition, he has contributed to over ten key and general projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China.
