The Clinical and Pathology Research Platform is an important supporting part of the National Demonstration Center for Experimental Basic Medical Science Education of our university, an important part of basic medicine of the dominant discipline of universities in Jiangsu Province, and a key laboratory in Xuzhou City. This platform focuses on major diseases, such as tumors and nervous system disorders, with an emphasis on three primary research directions: disease molecular mechanisms, target discovery and potential drug development, and clinical precision diagnosis and treatment. It systematically investigates the causes, mechanisms, and progression of diseases, as well as the morphological, functional, and metabolic changes in the body during disease development, aiming to clarify the nature of diseases and provide both theoretical and practical foundations for their prevention and treatment.
The platform spans an area of 1,000 square meters and is equipped with over 4.5 million yuan worth of advanced instruments, including a flow cytometer, real-time fluorescence quantitative PCR system, full-wavelength enzyme labeling system, tissue chip instrument, automated immunohistochemistry system, cryostat, fluorescence microscope, and other cutting-edge equipment.
