Speaker Biography:
Li Ming is the Deputy Director of the Kunming Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, a Research Fellow, and Doctoral Supervisor. He also serves as the Deputy Director of the National Key Laboratory of Genetic Evolution and Animal Models, and the Director of the Yunnan Provincial Key Laboratory of Animal Models and Human Diseases. His research focuses on the integrated analysis of multi-omics and multidisciplinary data related to psychiatric disorders, as well as elucidating the molecular mechanisms underlying brain dysfunction in these conditions using mouse models, brain organoids, and other experimental systems. His work also includes the screening of potential drug targets. Relevant research findings have been published as first or corresponding author in prestigious journals such as Nature Medicine, JAMA Psychiatry, Nature Communications, Molecular Psychiatry, Biological Psychiatry, and BMC Medicine. In 2024, he received the Second Prize of the Yunnan Provincial Natural Science Award as the first principal contributor.
