To further strengthen academic communication, exchanges and cooperation among faculty members in the new semester, broaden research horizons, and improve overall academic research capabilities, the School of Life Sciences held the first academic salon of the semester in Conference Room 822 of the Teaching Main Building on September 7. Professor Gao Can, Dean of the school, launched a mobilization speech for National Natural Science Foundation project applications and delivered an excellent academic lecture. School leaders, all graduate supervisors, and full-time frontline teachers with doctoral degrees attended the report.
Under the theme of “Glutamatergic Projections from Hippocampal dCA1 to Nucleus Accumbens Shell Mediate Environment-Induced Morphine Memory Retrieval”, Professor Gao systematically presented the latest research achievements of his research team in a concise and accessible manner. He also shared his personal research experience and insights into academic exploration, which greatly inspired young researchers. Meanwhile, the lecture provided innovative perspectives and practical guidance for faculty members on the writing and optimization of scientific fund project applications.
After the report, Professor Gao Can conducted in-depth discussions with all participating teachers on a series of key research issues. The academic salon concluded successfully with warm applause.
