In order to promote the deep integration of intelligent technology and higher education and teaching, improve teachers’ digital education and teaching capabilities, and actively prepare for the Jiangsu Provincial Micro-class Teaching Competition, on the afternoon of May 12, the School of Life Sciences organized a micro-class teaching competition review and exchange guidance meeting. The meeting specially invited Mr. Mou Jie, the person in charge of the national first-class undergraduate course "Organic Chemistry" and winner of multiple provincial teaching competitions, Mr. Fu Linlin, the person in charge of the national first-class undergraduate course "Human Parasitology" and the winner of multiple provincial teaching reform projects, and Mr. Hu Zhaoli, the first prize winner of the 2025 Jiangsu Micro-course Teaching Competition, as experts for on-site review guidance. The meeting was organized by Vice Dean Liu Yi and attended by all participating teachers of the School.
At the meeting, three experts combined their own curriculum construction, competition experience and the scoring standards of the provincial micro-course competition to conduct detailed comments and comprehensive scores on the participating micro-course works from multiple dimensions such as topic selection direction, teaching design, teaching philosophy, content organization, presentation method, technical specifications and teaching effect. The experts fully affirmed the teachers' highlights in teaching design and innovative expression, and also put forward pertinent suggestions for modifications in response to the shortcomings of the works.
After the review, the School arranged a point-to-point special tutoring session. Each expert connected with 2-3 participating teachers, conducted in-depth exchanges around micro-course script optimization, video shooting skills and post-production details, and provided personalized guidance.
This review exchange guidance meeting was rich in content and highly targeted, which effectively helped participating teachers clarify the direction of improvement. The School will take this opportunity to continue to deepen teaching reform and innovation, promote teaching and reform through competition, and continuously improve teachers' teaching capabilities and talent training quality.
