In order to solidly promote the review and evaluation of undergraduate education and teaching, fully demonstrate the effectiveness of talent training and education and teaching, strengthen the core concept of "promoting construction through evaluation, promoting reform through evaluation, promoting management through evaluation, and promoting strength through evaluation" among all staff, and further improve the evaluation work, on the afternoon of October 15, all faculty and staff of the School of Life Sciences held an undergraduate education and teaching review and evaluation training meeting in the conference room of the School. The meeting was chaired by Gao Can, the dean of the School.
Dean Gao Can reviewed the macro background of this review and evaluation. She pointed out that the core concept of the evaluation is highly consistent with the school's long-term "centered approach" policy and is a strategic part of the school's strategy to build a high-quality education system. With the convening of this meeting, the School has advanced from the presentation stage in April to the sprint stage. At the meeting, Dean Gao made special arrangements for the evaluation work and reminded that the evaluation work will officially start next week. This training will be a golden window for the final self-examination of the evaluation work. Vice Dean Liu Yi presented the report materials on the review and evaluation work of undergraduate education and teaching in the School of Life Sciences. The report materials closely followed the concept of "student center", focused on the cultivation of life science talents, and elaborated on the educational philosophy, teaching process, curriculum system, training effectiveness, continuous improvement and other aspects. Secretary Li Chong emphasized that all faculty and staff should take the evaluation as an opportunity to gather strength, implement the fundamental task of cultivating moral character and cultivating people, and take practical actions to meet the review and evaluation of undergraduate education and teaching.
The atmosphere at the venue was serious and warm. All teachers in the school studied the training content seriously, showing a high sense of responsibility and will be in a good state to welcome the next stage of review and evaluation work.
