The Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education recently announced the results of the 2023 Outstanding Undergraduate Thesis (Design) Awards for higher education institutions in Jiangsu. Xuzhou Medical University received 10 awards in total, including seven awards for outstanding undergraduate theses or designs and three awards for outstanding graduation design teams. All three theses or designs submitted by the School of Life Sciences won third prizes. This marks another achievement following the School’s Outstanding Graduation Design Team Award in 2022.
The School has always attached great importance to undergraduate theses. In recent years, it has improved their overall quality by strengthening management systems, process oversight, and evaluation. The School will further integrate thesis supervision into routine teaching, encourage more students to participate in research projects and practical activities, and develop their capacity for innovation and practice, thereby cultivating more high-quality professionals in the biological sciences.
