In order to improve the quality of talent training, optimize the talent training model, and strengthen the construction of professional and curriculum connotations. On the afternoon of March 28, Liu Yi, deputy dean of the School of Life Sciences, organized teachers from the Bioinformatics Teaching and Research Office and course leaders of "Python Language Programming" and "Genomics" to conduct a course construction seminar on course content arrangement, syllabus and teaching features around the training objectives of bioinformatics professionals.
At the meeting, college leaders and teachers conducted in-depth discussions around current industry needs, social development, school running characteristics, and students’ personal development needs. They also conducted active discussions on curriculum, teaching methods, practical teaching, etc., with a view to improving teaching quality and student learning effects.
The teachers who participated in this seminar provided valuable suggestions and opinions for the formulation of the 2024 new version of the bioinformatics professional training program, which will help promote the School’s teaching reform and talent training, and lay the foundation for cultivating more bioinformatics talents with innovative and practical abilities.
