In order to ensure the quality of graduation thesis teaching for the 2024 off-campus undergraduate interns of the School of Life Sciences and further strengthen exchanges between schools and enterprises, November 20-24 On the same day, Liu Yi, deputy dean of the School, Yao Ruiqin, Zhang Baole, Zhang Baole, Liu Yong, Chen Renjin, Zhu Zuobin, full-time backbone teachers Tang Chuanxi, Li Feng, Liu Yingkui, Zhou Xiaoyan, and counselor Hong Xiaoran of the School went to Wuxi Baiaode Bioscience Co., Ltd., Suzhou Microchao Biotechnology Co., Ltd., Nanjing Eastern Theater Center for Disease Control, Nanjing Paison Gene Technology Co., Ltd., Shanghai Tianhao Biotechnology Co., Ltd., etc. The internship unit listens to the thesis proposal report of the intern at the site and helps the students to successfully carry out the project research.
At the report meeting, off-campus interns gave detailed introductions to their respective thesis topics, research background and significance, domestic and foreign research status, research content and references, etc., and reported on the ideas and progress arrangements for the next stage of the thesis. The teachers of the School first affirmed the work and achievements of the off-campus interns in the past few months. At the same time, based on the reports of each intern, they put forward targeted and guiding opinions on the topic selection, development, research feasibility and content innovation of the paper. At the same time, students were given detailed and comprehensive guidance on graduation thesis writing, format, typesetting, academic integrity and ethical requirements.
Through this thesis proposal report, it not only strengthened the communication between teachers from both schools and enterprises, but also gained a detailed understanding of students' current internship life and learning status. It also allowed interns to have a clearer understanding of the framework, content and progress of their graduation thesis, and urged students to make reasonable plans. At the same time, the School of Life Sciences will continue to monitor and provide guidance on the quality of students’ graduation thesis processes to cultivate outstanding biomedical talents.
