In order to fully understand the internship work, internship life, internship teaching, etc. of the 2020 graduates of the School of Life Sciences at various internship sites, and with a work attitude of promptly discovering and solving problems, and effectively doing a good job in practical teaching and management of interns, on September 14, the School of Life Sciences organized a 2020 intern symposium through a combination of online and offline methods. Liu Yi, deputy dean of the School of Life Sciences, Zheng Peng, deputy secretary of the Party branch, directors of each teaching and research section and leader of the thesis supervision group, counselors and teaching office teachers attended the symposium.
At the symposium, students talked freely about internships and postgraduate entrance examinations, thesis process management, internship teaching and other issues. The teachers answered questions and difficulties encountered by students based on the real experiences of previous graduates and their own experience as instructors and defense experts. The teachers said that the internship environment is a true microcosm of future work or postgraduate life, and that internship is the best and most important way to cultivate students' professional practical qualities and basic scientific research qualities. They emphasized that internships and postgraduate entrance examinations are not antagonistic, and students are asked to coordinate the relationship between postgraduate entrance examinations and internships and correct their internship mentality. Students are urged to communicate with their teachers and the school in a timely manner if they encounter problems during the internship process.
This intern symposium not only strengthened the connection between the interns and the school, and timely understood and solved the difficulties and worries encountered by the current interns, but also played a very good role in promoting the future intern management and industry-education integration of the school. It will help the school further improve the internship practice teaching management and improve the quality of biomedical student training oriented towards biomedical talent training.
