In order to improve the school's teacher education and teaching capabilities, broaden teachers' teaching ideas, improve the quality of the School's talent training, and enhance the competitiveness of the School's students, on April 14, the school specially invited teacher Li Ting, a teacher who has been engaged in front-line teaching for a long time, to conduct a workshop with the theme of "There is no fixed method to teach, the most important thing is to obtain the method" for the School teachers in the 822 conference room of the main building. Liu Yi, deputy dean of the school, presided over it.
In the workshop, teachers from the school freely formed groups of 3-5 people, and conducted in-group thinking and discussion on the issues raised by Teacher Li Ting: "What aspects should college teachers think about when preparing for class?", "What are the basic teaching documents?", "Basic links and requirements of classroom teaching" and other aspects. Teachers from the School proposed that in teaching, we must keep pace with the times based on students' majors and the characteristics of contemporary college students, and do a good job in teaching design, highlight the key and difficult points of the courses, strengthen the connections between courses, and timely update and share the current scientific and technological advances and trends related to the courses, mobilize students' learning interest and enthusiasm, and improve learning efficiency. In addition, in response to some questions raised by teachers in the School, Teacher Li Ting also communicated and shared her long-term work experience.
Finally, dean Liu pointed out that in current teaching, we must update and change teaching ideas and methods in a timely manner according to students' characteristics. We cannot be limited to rigid rules and regulations, but must know how to adapt. At the same time, Dean Liu put forward requirements for each teaching and research section, hoping that each teaching and research section would organize similar lesson preparation activities on a regular basis to promote ideological collisions among teachers, better improve teaching capabilities, and advance the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education to a high standard.
