To strengthen the faculty's capacity for teaching reform and curriculum development, the school invited Song Wenting to deliver a lecture entitled 'PBL in Practice' in Conference Room 822 of the Main Building on March 24. Song, a faculty member of Xuzhou Medical University, has won numerous national and provincial teaching competition awards in recent years and was among the first recipients of the University's 'Good Teacher in My Eyes' honor. She shared practical experience in PBL teaching with all faculty members of the school. The lecture was chaired by Vice Dean Liu Yi.
At the beginning of the lecture, Vice Dean Liu Yi of the School of Life Sciences emphasized the purpose and significance of holding this lecture. He hoped that all teachers in the school would seize the opportunity, study seriously, combine with reality, and improve their teaching reform and curriculum construction capabilities.
In the lecture, Teacher Song Wenting communicated and shared with all teachers in the school from two aspects: "Problems encountered in carrying out PBL teaching and solutions" and "Practical experience in carrying out PBL teaching online and offline" in humorous language. During the lecture, teachers from the school would lower their heads and take notes carefully from time to time or use their mobile phones to take pictures of the important knowledge points shared by Teacher Song. Finally, the teachers of the school also raised questions about the problems encountered in the teaching practice reform. Teacher Song explained them in detail one by one, and the two parties had a pleasant exchange on the teaching reform issues.
Through the exchange and sharing of this lecture, the teachers of the school said they have benefited a lot and hope to apply the experience learned this time to the teaching reform of future courses to promote the improvement of the quality and effectiveness of the teaching reform in the School.
