On the afternoon of December 19, 2019, Xuzhou Medical University and Xuzhou No. 3 Middle School held a signing ceremony for the construction of a “High-Quality Student Base” at the Cuiwen Building of Xuzhou No. 3 Middle School. Li Chong, Secretary of the School of Life Sciences, Liu Yi, Vice Dean of the School, and Wang Qian, Director of the Party and Administrative Office, attended the ceremony. The participating representatives from Xuzhou No. 3 Middle School included Zhi Qianfeng, Principal and Party Secretary, Wang Shun, Director of the Academic Affairs Office, Wu Yanan and Bai Song, Directors of the Student Development Guidance Center. The ceremony was hosted by Director Wu Yanan.
At the ceremony, Zhi Qianfeng delivered a speech. He stated that the establishment of the “High-Quality Student Base” between Xuzhou Medical University and Xuzhou No. 3 Middle School would effectively integrate educational resources of universities and middle schools, strengthen exchanges and cooperation between the two institutions, and build a superior platform for the selection and cultivation of outstanding students, achieving a three-way win for students, middle schools and universities.
Subsequently, Li Chong introduced the university’s overall development, enrollment and employment situation, educational philosophy, and major construction achievements. He noted that the university would provide comprehensive support for students’ career planning. He also expressed the hope of further deepening long-term cooperation and exchanges with Xuzhou No. 3 Middle School and welcoming more outstanding students to apply for admission to Xuzhou Medical University.
In the final session, Li Chong and Zhi Qianfeng signed the cooperation agreement on behalf of the two institutions respectively, and an official plaque-unveiling ceremony for the “High-Quality Student Base” was held. Xuzhou No. 3 Middle School is the fourth authorized high-quality student base of Xuzhou Medical University, following Xuzhou No. 1 Middle School, Jiangsu Yunhe Middle School and Pizhou Mingde Experimental School.
