Professor Hae Woong Choi’s Delegation from Korea University Visits Our School for Academic Exchanges

On the morning of September 12, Professor Hae Woong Choi from the School of Life Sciences, Korea University, led a delegation to visit and exchange with our school. Our school held a symposium in Conference Room 822. The attendees included Professor Hae Woong Choi, PhD students Kim Min-jung and Ho-ryeon Lee from Korea University, Professor Gao Can (Dean of the School of Life Science, Xuzhou Medical University), Li Chong (Secretary of the General Party Branch), Zheng Peng (Deputy Secretary of the General Party Branch), Lee Soo-jin (foreign teacher of Xuzhou Medical University), as well as more than ten teachers and student representatives from our school. The symposium was presided over by Li Chong, Secretary of the General Party Branch of the school.

Professor Gao Can, Dean of the School of Life Science, and Professor Hae Woong Choi from Korea University delivered opening remarks respectively. During the symposium, the two sides conducted in-depth and thorough communication on multiple cooperative matters, including the joint master-doctoral training programs, short-term study exchanges for our students, and visiting scholar programs and overseas research training opportunities for our faculty members. Both parties expressed their willingness to further enrich cooperation carriers and contents on the basis of previous collaborations, improve the quality of international cooperation, and achieve substantive progress in talent cultivation, scientific research and faculty development. After the symposium, Professor Choi and his delegation visited the school’s scientific research laboratories and the university history museum.

In recent years, our school has carried out extensive cooperative exchanges with a number of overseas universities, including Illinois Institute of Technology in the United States, Sorbonne University in France, and Korea University in South Korea. Taking international cooperation and exchanges as an important opportunity, our school will continuously promote high-quality development in all aspects.
