To further promote admissions publicity, expand the university’s social influence and improve the quality of undergraduate applicants, Professor Liu Yi, Vice Dean of the School, delivered a public welfare admissions lecture at Xuzhou No. 3 Middle School on the afternoon of August 21.
Quoting the ancient Chinese proverb “Sharp swords are forged through tempering; fragrant plum blossoms bloom through enduring bitter cold”, Professor Liu shared his own diligent academic journey. He advised senior high school students on how to adapt to high-pressure campus life and relieve study fatigue, offering practical and feasible daily learning and living suggestions. Based on his personal experience, Professor Liu illustrated the learning characteristics of different majors and emphasized that diligence is the core element of personal success.
Integrated with vivid pictures and detailed scientific data, the lecture was interspersed with humorous emoticons, creating a relaxed and lively atmosphere and engaging all participating students throughout the session.
In the subsequent Q&A session, students actively raised questions and conducted in-depth interactions with Professor Liu. When asked about methods to relieve fatigue after exercise, he replied humorously, “Welcome to Xuzhou Medical University, where I will give you professional lectures on relieving sports fatigue in university classrooms.”
At the end of the lecture, Professor Liu encouraged all students to seize the time, give full play to their personal strengths, and maintain a healthy and scientific lifestyle and learning state.
