In response to the Ministry of Education’s call for the "Winter Vacation Warm Employment Campaign", the School of Life Sciences made elaborate arrangements and carried out multi-line initiatives during the holiday to deliver uninterrupted employment services and warm support, fully promoting high-quality and full employment for the Class of 2026 graduates.
Enterprise Visits & Talent Recruitment Expansion for Targeted Career Matching
The School of Life Sciences focused on bridging talent training quality and market talent demand, organizing mid-term internship inspections. Xu Yue, Counselor for the Class of 2026 graduates, visited multiple key employers including Nanjing Getein Biotech Co., Ltd., the Center for Disease Control and Prevention of the Eastern Theater Command, and Nanjing Geneseeq Technology Inc.
During the visits, the counselor held in-depth forums with enterprise supervisors to learn about the latest industry talent demands, job competency requirements and students’ internship performance, and exchanged views on deepening school-enterprise cooperation and optimizing talent training programs. He also visited frontline interns, communicating face-to-face with them to inquire about internship content, living support and career planning. He patiently answered doubts and provided targeted guidance for students’ internship troubles, delivering the school’s care to the last mile of their internship posts.
Timely Job Information Dissemination to Expand Employment Channels
Throughout the winter vacation, the school collected and screened high-quality recruitment information in the biomedicine industry and related fields, and accurately pushed resources to graduates via grade WeChat groups and official WeChat public accounts. This ensured students could access the latest job openings without leaving home, helping them understand the job market, clarify career positioning and take proactive job-hunting actions.
Postgraduate Interview Guidance to Support Further Study
To meet the demands of postgraduate entrance exam takers after the preliminary examination, the school organized the online sharing session "Journey to Postgraduate Study: Experience Inheritance" to assist students in excelling in interviews. Outstanding alumni admitted to the University of Science and Technology of China and Southern Medical University in previous years shared their experience via online conference. Combining their personal journeys, the alumni elaborated on interview procedures, interview skills, supervisor selection and mental adjustment, and answered personalized questions raised by underclassmen. This online dialogue provided practical preparation strategies and greatly boosted students’ confidence, helping them avoid detours on their path to further academic study.
