March 5, 2025 marked the 62nd anniversary of the call to "Learn from Comrade Lei Feng" and the 26th China Youth Volunteer Service Day. The spirit of Lei Feng has inspired generations to dedicate themselves selflessly. On the afternoon of March 8, the "Life Covenant" Volunteer Service Team of the School of Life Sciences, Xuzhou Medical University, visited Lvdi North Community of Xuzhou City to carry out volunteer public welfare activities themed "Lei Feng Spirit Accompanies Spring, Healthy Community Grows Together", integrating popular science on health services.
Guided by the spirit of Lei Feng, volunteers distributed leaflets on spring infectious disease prevention to community residents, provided practical health guides, and disseminated general health knowledge. Interactive activities including the "Health Knowledge Wheel Quiz" and parent-child game "You Describe, I Guess" were held on-site to help build a caring and health-focused community.
Moving forward, the School of Life Sciences will continue to carry forward the spirit of Lei Feng by organizing more beneficial activities, wholeheartedly advancing youth volunteer services, acting as inheritors of the Lei Feng spirit, and jointly building healthier and happier communities.
