Spring brings warm sunshine, and the new semester arrives as scheduled. To further strengthen student safety education and management, and help students clarify their academic development paths, the School of Life Sciences held a grade meeting for the Class of 2024 for the 2025 spring semester on February 26. Zheng Peng, Deputy Secretary of the General Party Branch, together with counselors Xu Yue and Yuan Ding, attended the meeting to kick off the new semester’s study and life alongside students.
At the meeting, Secretary Zheng focused on fire safety and telecom fraud prevention. Combining typical cases, he analyzed the importance of safe electricity use in dormitories, campus fire protection and telecom fraud prevention, reminding students to raise safety awareness and reinforce the campus security defense line. He also explained and eased students’ doubts regarding the recent major transfer policy. Teacher Xu Yue introduced the school’s history of scientific and technological innovation, shared the school’s achievements in research and innovation, and encouraged students to actively participate in research projects to improve their academic literacy and practical capabilities. Teacher Yuan Ding conducted an in-depth analysis of academic performance from the previous semester, guiding students to summarize experience and address knowledge gaps, and offered targeted learning suggestions to help students better map out their academic goals for the new semester.
This grade meeting not only strengthened students’ risk prevention awareness, but also pointed out clear directions for their study and life in the new term. In the future, the School of Life Sciences will continue to strengthen student safety management and academic guidance, supporting students to grow healthily and strive forward in a safe and stable environment.
