The spring semester of the 2022–2023 academic year arrived, reviving the quiet campus. All university departments made thorough preparations to ensure smooth student return, teaching and administration.
To learn about students’ mental state and winter vacation life and help them adapt to campus quickly, Deputy General Party Branch Secretary Zheng Peng of the School of Life Sciences led all grade counselors to visit dormitories and comfort returning students on the afternoon of February 9.
Secretary Zheng chatted warmly with students: "When did you get back? You must be tired from the trip, rest well in the dorm.", "How was your winter break? Did you keep up with your studies at home?", "Is the heating working? Is the room warm?" Discussions covered dorm hygiene and study planning in a lively, harmonious atmosphere. With semester exams approaching, he reminded everyone to adjust to the new semester and prepare fully for the exam week.
Short drizzles and cooling weather followed the Start of Spring, making dorm heating a top concern for school leaders. Secretary Zheng checked every dorm, feeling radiator temperature, inspecting window sealing and demonstrating correct heating operation and air venting to students. Students returning from all over the country expressed sincere gratitude for the thoughtful care, which brought them great spiritual comfort.
The School of Life Sciences consistently devotes sincere, thorough efforts to student work, strengthening humanistic care and expanding communication channels to build a harmonious educational environment, laying a solid foundation for cultivating Life Sciences talents. Let’s strive together in the new semester!
