To further strengthen the head teacher team and build an all-staff, whole-process, all-round education environment, the School of Life Sciences held the 2022 Head Teacher Work Conference at noon on November 23 in Meeting Room 822 of the Main Building. Li Chong, General Party Branch Secretary, Zheng Peng, Deputy General Party Branch Secretary, all head teachers and school counselors attended the meeting, presided over by Secretary Zheng Peng.
First, Secretary Li Chong elaborated on the vital role of head teachers in student affairs and expressed gratitude for their full cooperation. He led all participants to study the university and college management systems for head teachers, and interpreted the school’s assessment rules for head teacher work.
Next, Counselor Zhu Muchun presented basic profiles and academic performance data of each class, clarifying core head teacher responsibilities including ideological education, class culture building and academic tutoring.
Subsequently, head teachers held an open discussion on challenges and successful practices regarding class cohesion, daily management, mental health, teaching and extracurricular activities.
Finally, Secretary Zheng Peng offered work suggestions. He noted that contemporary college students tend to be perfectionist yet emotionally sensitive, so head teachers should offer more encouragement, participate in student activities and provide targeted academic guidance.
The conference promoted mutual learning and experience sharing among head teachers, improved their professional capacity, and strengthened collaborative education between faculty head teachers and student counselors.
